August 1st Marks National Playday 2012
19 July 2012
August 1st marks National Playday 2012. On Playday thousands of children and their families get out to play at hundreds of community events across the UK. As well as a celebration of children's right to play, Playday is a campaign that highlights the importance of play in children’s lives.
As Playday fast approaches, PlayBoard NI is calling on children and young people across the UK to tell them what play is like for them - where they play, what they do when they play and what stops them from playing.
The results of the survey (which can be completed by children aged between 5 – 18 years) will support the Playday 2012 Get out and play campaign by highlighting the issues around children's play and helping us show the importance of play in children's lives. Most importantly, the survey will give children and young people a voice on the issues that affect them.
The survey can be accessed via the Playday website and will close on Friday 20 July.
