Sport Northern Ireland funded boxer Paddy Gallagher followed Paddy Barnes by winning Northern Ireland’s 2nd Gold medal, with an 11-6 success over England's Callum Smith.
Gallagher stormed into a 4-1 lead but seemed to be tiring in the second round as Smith levelled the contest at 5-5.
However, Gallagher produced an amazing final round, scoring with short-range stabs to secure a five-point winning margin.
Gallagher said he came into the competition only looking for a finals placing and had found every fight tough, particularly against the rangy Smith.
"Today I put everything into it. It was a very hard fight, fair play to the other guy," he said.
Northern Ireland have two other men contesting boxing finals on Wednesday in the Talkatora Stadium in Delhi.
Team captain Eamonn O'Kane takes on England's Anthony Ogogo in the middleweight final with Steven Ward up against another Englishman Simon Vallily at heavyweight.
