GOVERNANCE IMPROVEMENT PROGRAMME
INFORMATION SESSION
Sport Northern Ireland recognises the important contribution all sports can make to the building of a world class system for sport. To this end, Sport Northern Ireland is launching a Governance Improvement Programme which will be focused on assisting governing bodies implement the recommendations of the ongoing governing body recognition review.
All recognised governing bodies which are not in receipt of Investing in Performance Sport funding will be eligible to apply for financial assistance through a small investment programme.
Investment of between £1000 and £5000 will be made available for projects which must contribute towards the achievement of Sport NI’s aim to improve governance and modernise organisations across sports in NI.
To assist the governing bodies to identify eligible projects and to provide guidance for the application process, Sport NI would like to invite all eligible governing bodies to attend the programme launch and information session.
The information session takes place at 7.00pm on Thursday 29th September 2011 at the House of Sport.
