In February 2010 Sport Northern Ireland launched its Anti-Doping initiative 'Pure Winner'. Following the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and with the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games just around the corner, awareness of drugs in sport has never been more relevant.
The initiative has been established to educate and inform athletes and athlete support personnel about key issues concerning doping in sport in order for athletes to prepare and succeed in competition.
Sport Northern Ireland is committed to drug-free sport and is working with the following organisations to ensure that Northern Ireland athletes and support personnel are aware of Anti-Doping issues:
Sport Northern Ireland produces the Pure Winner Post, an ezine designed to keep Northern Ireland athletes, their support personnel and anyone with an interest in anti-doping issues, up to date with current and relevant anti-doping information.
