Club Development

06 November 2009

Sport Northern Ireland recognises the essential and significant role that sports clubs have to play in the development of sport in Northern Ireland. Sports clubs impact upon sport by providing outlets for people to participate in sport and develop their skills. With this in mind, Sport Matters: The Northern Ireland Strategy for Sport and Physical Recreation, 2009-2019 acknowledges the importance of increasing sports club membership, developing school/club links, introducing a new quality accreditation standard and accrediting 1200 quality clubs.
