Sport Northern Ireland Congratulates Rory McIlroy...
Sport Northern Ireland was delighted to learn of Rory McIlroy’s successes at the Dunhill Links Championships at which he finished 3rd; his second tournament as a professional and then more recently his joint-fourth finish at the Madrid Open.
In finishing 3rd at the Dunhill Links Championships Rory, a former Sport Northern Ireland beneficiary from its Athlete Support Programme, has all but secured his European Tour card for next season. Furthermore as he is 8th in the Ryder Cup rankings, Rory has a chance of becoming the youngest ever player to take part in the Ryder Cup.
