Conor Leaney wins Gold medal in British Youth Championships

 

Sport NI funded swimmer Conor Leaney was among the medal winners at the British Youth Championships in Sheffield which started on 26th July 2007. 

 

Conor swam to victory in the 15/16 age group with a time of 52.14 seconds in the 100m Freestyle setting a new Irish Junior record.

  

 

Northern Ireland runner enjoys Silver success at European Youth Olympics

 

Omagh Harriers athlete, Noel Collins, recently competed at the European Youth Olympics, Belgrade, where he achieved a Silver medal for Ireland in the 2000m steeplechase. 

 

His time of 5:52.06 was 14 seconds faster than his previous personal best, proving him to be one of the most promising athletes in the country.
