Support 4 School Sport!
Podium Sport and Sport Northern Ireland have teamed up to help make this year’s school sports day special for 60 primary schools across Northern Ireland by providing the lucky schools with sports day equipment packs. Each pack contained certificates and fridge magnets for each child and equipment such as skipping ropes, bean bags and bibs to be used during the schools sports day.
Paul Rothwell, Podium 4 Sport Managing Director, said “Sport and physical exercise is vitally important to the development of young people and it is for this reason that Podium 4 Sport initiated this programme in conjunction with our partner Sport Northern Ireland to make a contribution to the Primary Schools. We believe that every child has the right to enjoy sport and physical activity. That is why we are dedicated to providing the best school sports equipment to make sport exciting for all children.
Richard McCormick, Marketing Manager Sport Northern Ireland, said, “Sport Northern Ireland is committed to increasing and sustaining participation in sport especially amongst young people and it is for this reason that we are delighted to be involved in this project. This is an excellent opportunity to capture the enthusiasm and interest of children at Primary Schools and will hopefully generate a passion in them to continue participating in sport.”
