Activ8 Challenge

Your challenge is to get active at school or at home for 60 minutes every day. Use the Activ8 Diary to record your success. You can get an Activ8 Diary by clicking here.

8 steps to help you get active and stay healthy

1. Move your body - you don't have to play a sport to get active. Any type of movement is good for you - try dancing, hop-scotch or gymnastics.

2. Be part of a team - by being part of a team you can make new friends, achieve new goals and have lots of fun. Check out the Wildcats Activ8 Clubs in your local area. By joining a Wildcats Activ8 Club you can learn new skills for sport, get active and fun.

3. Create your own - why not create you own game. Make up your own rules for a game - perhaps using a ball, a bat, a hula hoop or any equipment you have at home.

4. Involve your Family - get your family active. Why not go for a walk after dinner instead of watching TV, go cycling or play a family game in the garden or park.

5. Eat well - top athletes eat healthy to maintain a healthy body. Swap a sugary item (chocolate, sweets or fizzy drinks) for a healthy option such a piece of fruit or a bowl of unsweetened cereal.

6. Go outdoors - walk to the shop, to school or to a friend's house with your parents instead of taking the car - or just go for a walk in the park.

7. Be a leader - don't wait for someone else to organise an activity - take charge by suggesting games and activities to your family or friends.

8. Measure your success - use the Activ8 Diary to record your activities over one week. You'll be amazed at how a little activity each day adds up to make you fit and healthy. After the first week, keep you own diary to record your success.
