What is a lease?
The Sports
Council require legal security of tenure for project sites.
One of the ways of getting this is through a lease, which is a
binding
legal agreement from the landlord (who owns the
site/buildings)
to the tenant (applicant) set forth the rights
and obligations of each party.
A lease is a grant of
possession of property for a term of years,
e.g. 21 years,
usually requiring the payment of rent.
Complete possession as
against all others must be granted.
