Effectiveness of Stewarding

One of the elements in assessing the ‘S’ factor will be the effectiveness of the stewarding arrangements.

A steward is defined as “a person trained or being trained, to a standard recognised by The Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure (DCAL), employed or contracted by management to act in accordance with the general recommendations of the Northern Ireland Guide to Safety of Sports Grounds, and where appropriate, the specific requirements of the safety certificate.”

  • 1st4Sport Level 2 Award in Understanding Stewarding at Spectator Events
  • 1st4Sport Level 2 Certificate for Event Stewards
  • 1st4Sport Level 2 NVQ in Spectator Safety
  • City and Guilds Level 2 Award in Understanding Stewarding at Spectator Events
  • City and Guilds Level 2 NVQ in Spectator Safety
  • Edexel Level 2 NVQ in Spectator Safety
  • EDI Level 2 Award in Understanding Stewarding at Spectator Events
  • EDI Level 2 NVQ in Spectator Safety
  • NCFE Level 2 Award in Understanding Stewarding at Spectator Events
  • NCFE Level 2 Certificate for Event Stewards
  • NCFE Level 2 NVQ in Spectator Safety
  • HABC Level 2 Award In Understanding Stewarding at Spectator Events
  • HABC Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Spectator Safety
