Sport Northern Ireland’s North West Coaching Programme and the North West Coaching Network have announced a series of upcoming free learning and development events for local sports clubs and coaches.

In November will see Sport NI (and the North West Coaching Network) deliver a workshop for local sports clubs on “Attracting Young People to Your Club”. The workshop will be facilitated by Graeme Foreman. Graeme previously worked for Sports Coach UK where he published books and resources on fundamental movement skills. He now runs his own company, GF International Solutions, which specialises in coach education, emotional intelligence and performance skills. Graeme has worked in a consultancy role with a range of clubs and organisations such Hartlepool FC, Sunderland AFC Academy, Durham County Cricket and Durham University sports teams. The workshop takes place at Foyle Arena, Derryon Wednesday 22nd November 2017, 6.30-8.30pm

Further workshops will also available in November on how sports clubs in the North West can use social media as a tool to promote themselves and engage your audience. Workshop content will focus on supporting sports clubs to make the most of their digital presence by identifying best practice and demonstrating how to communicate effectively online to grow your club. The workshop facilitator will Stephen Moreton, co-Founder and Head of Strategy for Trigger Movement. Stephen holds an MBA in International Sports Management and previously led Coach Education & Development for Cricket Ireland. This pair of workshops will take place at Foyle Arena, Derry on Wednesday 29th November and Silver Birches Hotel, Omagh on Thursday 30th November (both workshops will run from 7-9pm).
