Project Funding - £800,000

Following completion of the project, the venue will have a safe capacity of 16,120 (of which 3,500 [22%] will be seated). The works listed below will ensure that the venue completely addresses previous safety deficiencies. The following work will be completed:

  • A new Crowd Control Room to be located in a new building to be erected on the opposite side of the Lone Moor stand.  This will also have a provision for media facilities and a TV gantry;
  • The construction of a new covered 3,500 capacity stand on the Lone Moor side of the ground;
  • Provision of a new P.A. system;
  • Provision of new pitch-side gates and realignment of existing gates.
  • New toilets blocks beside proposed Crowd Control Room and the upgrading of existing toilets for disabled spectators at Lone Moor side of the ground;
  • The resurfacing of uneven surface areas at the Lone Moor side. The provision of 3 new exit gates will ensure the safe controlled exiting of spectators in the event of an emergency.
  • Disabled accommodation will be increased from 17 to 47 positions along with 2 dedicated turnstiles on the Lone Moor side of the venue.
