Stadia Safety Programme Phase I >> Portadown Football Club

Project Funding - £800,000

The proposed project will significantly improve the current safety arrangements at the venue i.e. the proposed safe capacity of the venue, following completion of the project, will be 3,940 (2,740 seated and 1,200 standing).

Future development stages, which the club anticipated happening in the next 5-10 years, will see the replacement of the main Grandstand with a 2,300 seated stand which will result in the venue achieving the aims of the facilities strategy i.e. 5,000 seated capacity.

The proposed project involves the construction of a new stand, with the following facilities:

  • Seating for 1,800;
  • Crowd Control Room;
  • A designated family enclosure;
  • 3 viewing platforms for 20 disabled persons, with access;
  • 2 sets of male, female and disabled toilets;
  • Steward’s Room;
  • First Aid Room; and
  • Two automated turnstiles.
