The key to effective coaching is to ensure that all coaches have the appropriate skills, knowledge and certification for the stage of development which they are operating within. The main providers of sport specific education and training are Governing Bodies of Sport and all coaches delivering within the sporting pathway should have obtained the relevant coaching certification from them. Your Governing Body of Sport will also be able to give you guidance on what level of coach should be working with which participants.
