Sport NI Chief Executive Antoinette McKeown wished Northern Ireland Women’s football team the best of luck ahead of their maiden Euros match tonight.

“You are our history makers and you should be so proud of what you have achieved. Your relentless commitment has driven you to this tournament. You have also inspired a whole generation of girls here who want to pick up a ball and play football.
“We are wishing you all the very best and don’t forget that everyone in Northern Ireland is cheering you on.
“Come on Northern Ireland!”
