As part of Sport Northern Ireland’s Supporting Sport to Build Back Better Programme, this People Development themed initiative is called ‘The Club Experience Project’, and is supported by the National Lottery.  This will strengthening our relationship with ICOACHKIDS, the global movement for youth sport.

This partnership project will see the creation of three customised e-learning courses to support coaches and coach developers working with children and young people.  These e-learning courses will be free of charge to all learners, and will provide in-depth learning opportunities across the following three themes:

#1 – Developing Effective Environments for Children in Sport

#2 – Child and youth-centred coaching

#3 – Coaching Children: Planning, Doing and Reviewing

These FREE online courses will complement Sport Northern Ireland’s new blended children’s coach development modules, with the new online course content integrated into these modules alongside live online sessions and face-to-face learning.

ICOACHKIDS co-founder, Sergio Lara-Bercial said:

“We are delighted to continue to work with Sport Northern Ireland. Their commitment to youth sport and coach development is second to none, and they have always been an inspiration to all of us. This collaboration represents another major step for ICOACHKIDS in our quest to create a global movement that puts kids first in sport”.

Sport Northern Ireland Chief Executive, Antoinette McKeown said:

“This new and enhanced partnership with ICOACHKIDS builds upon Sport Northern Ireland’s existing support for the ICOACHKIDS movement.  The challenges of the past year have accelerated the need for and provision of digital learning opportunities in the sport sector, and we are delighted to be working with ICOACHKIDS to provide high quality digital learning for coaches of children across Northern Ireland.  The ICOACHKIDS online courses will also compliment and integrate into Sport Northern Ireland’s new children’s blended coach development modules”.
