Sport Northern Ireland is now welcoming applications for the 2023/24 Athlete Awards Programme.
The investment aims to contribute to the essential personal living costs of an athlete to help them train and maximise their potential.
The Athlete Awards is in line with outcome two within Sport NI’s Corporate Plan which is to have ‘More NI athletes among the best in the World’ by targeting those who have the potential to achieve success and excel in Olympics, Paralympics and Commonwealth Games.
The programme is split into three monetary categories of £2,000- £2,500, £4,000- £5,000 and £7,500- £9,000 which can only be applied for by governing bodies of sports, not by athletes themselves.
The closing date for applications to be sent to performancesport@sportni.net is 4pm on Friday 10th March 2023.
