Lisburn Cricket Club has successfully raised £10,000 through Sport NI’s Creating Opportunities programme, boosting support for their growing women’s and girls’ teams.
By raising £5,000 through crowdfunding and receiving £5,000 in match funding from Sport NI, the club was able to invest in meaningful development opportunities – including winter nets training and morning taster sessions in local schools.
These initiatives are helping to grow female participation at the club and ensure young girls have the chance to experience cricket in an inclusive and encouraging environment.
As part of Sport NI’s Be Seen, Be Heard, Belong campaign, Creating Opportunities empowers clubs like Lisburn Cricket Club to take action and build lasting, positive change for women and girls in sport.
