Sport NI is excited to kick off the next phase of our Be Seen, Be Heard, Belong campaign – celebrating women and girls in sport through their Proudest Sporting Moments.

This digital campaign is designed to flood social media with positive stories of women and girls in sport; empowering women of all ages and abilities to reflect on and share the sporting moments that mean the most to them.

From grassroots memories to international success, first steps into a new sport, returning to sport after having a baby, or moments that built confidence, belonging, and a sense of pride, we want to hear them all!

The campaign has been backed by Olympians Kate O’Connor and Hannah Scott and Paralympians Katie Morrow and Dearbhaile Brady who have shared their proudest sporting moments and encouraged others to do the same.

How to Get Involved

We’re asking women and girls of all ages and abilities, to share the sporting moment they’re most proud of. It could be:

  • your first training session
  • returning after time away
  • hitting a milestone you never thought possible
  • supporting a teammate
  • representing your club, county or country
  • overcoming a challenge — big or small

Taking part is simple:

  1. Share your proudest sporting moment on your social media and nominate a friend to do the same
  2. Tag  Sport NI
  3. Use #ProudestSportingMoment and #BeSeenBeHeardBelong

Every story shared helps increase visibility, builds confidence and shows women and girls that sport is a place where they belong.
We’ve created an Activation Pack to help you get started.
