Sport NI wishes to congratulate Rhys McClenaghan who has been recognised in the King’s New Year Honours List.
Interim Chief Executive, Richard Archibald said: “I would like to extend my congratulations to Rhys McClenaghan who has been made an MBE for his services to gymnastics in the King’s New Year Honours List.
“Rhys is an incredible gymnast. He wowed us with his performance in Paris, adding Olympic gold to his European, Commonwealth and World titles on the pommel horse.
“Rhys is a true ambassador for sport in Northern Ireland and is inspiring the next generation to participate and excel in sport.”
