Two members of the Sport NI Sports Institute have shared their experiences of working with elite athletes at the Olympics and Paralympics.  

Sinead Chambers and David Lasini joined Curious Coaching host Michael Cooke to discuss their experiences from Paris 2024 working in high performance environments.  

Sinead was a HQ Physio, supporting National Governing Body physiotherapists, working across all athletes in her second Paralympic Games after previously working with the ParalympicGB Badminton team. 

David Lasini went to Paris as Acting Lead for Performance Science being responsible for the setup, maintenance, management and running of performance gyms for Team GB athletes. 

Both go into detail about their professional journey on reaching the pinnacle of elite sport, the challenges and the learnings which will provide valuable education to those who are interested in following their paths.  

The podcast has been released during SportMaker 2025 Coaches Week as a resource to give an insight into the high performance element of the sporting sector.
