Sports Minister Carl N Chuiln has celebrated the inspirational achievements of local sports people in 2013 at a public event in the Antrim Forum.
Joining the Minister for the celebrations were Winter Paralympic Gold Medalist Kelly Gallagher, gold medal Paralympian Michael McKillop and Ulster, Ireland and Lions rugby hero Tommy Bowe along with athletes from a range of sports including gymnastics, golf, soccer, hockey, Gaelic and cricket for a ‘Celebration of Sport in 2013.’
The evening was compered by CoolFMÕs Pete Snodden and sports journalist Denise Watson and it included a demonstration of the Ultimate Firefighter Challenge from the World Police and Fire Games. The public also had the opportunity to enjoy many sports including archery, wheelchair basketball, high wire adventure ropes, rowing, cycling and badminton.
