Richard Archibald Interim CEO of Sport NI wishes the Ireland Women’s Six Nations team good luck as they take on Scotland in the final round in Belfast on Saturday. Three Ulster players have been named in the team as they battle for World Cup Qualification.

He said: “As women and girls rugby continues to grow it is a brilliant opportunity to have the final round test here in Belfast and I’m sure the Kingspan will be packed full of fans to cheer the team on.

“At Sport NI we are passionate about levelling the playing field for women in sport, making sure that women and girls have the same opportunities as men to participate and excel in their chosen sports. Ulster Rugby has been making strides in this area, achieving the significant milestone of 1000 girls registered in the youth game earlier this year. Hosting a Six Nations match in Belfast will no doubt inspire the next generation of players and we wish the team the best of luck!”
