Local athletes to compete at Olympic ParkLocal athletes are set to compete in the Olympic Park over the next few days as part of the inaugural Sainsburys 2012 School Games, a multi sport event for the UK’s elite young aspiring athletes.
197 pupils from across the province will compete in the Olympic Stadium, Aquatics Centre, Velodrome and ExCeL Centre as well as other venues from 6th – 9th May to build on the excitement and inspirations of the 2012 Games.
