Performance Lifestyle is a person first service that provides individualised coaching and mentoring support to all identified athletes. This support is designed to prioritise wellbeing and to assist athletes embrace their personal and professional development alongside their competitive sporting careers, and is delivered at the start of, during and post being an elite athlete.
Dedicated Performance Lifestyle advisors work with sports to enable athletes to thrive in their specific training and competition environments whilst maintaining an appropriate balance of non-sport commitments (education, employment, financial, sponsorship) that allows them to appropriately prepare for life after their elite sport career finishes.
Our Performance Lifestyle staff work to deliver a confidential service that works alongside athletes and is offered primarily on a 1:1 basis, but also may be delivered in a group workshop setting. This approach allows practitioners to focus on nurturing relationships based on trust and integrity which enable athletes to engage in a safe, secure and confidential manner that delivers bespoke results for them. A key focus of all engagement is to work proactively with athletes and coaches and assist them to plan for their transition from elite level sport.

The Performance Lifestyle team works together with coaches and all support staff as part of integrated multi-disciplinary teams to minimise potential concerns, conflicts and distractions, all of which can be detrimental to both performance and personal life. Performance Lifestyle staff assist in creating and nurturing a culture that helps deliver performance and responsibly cares for its people. Performance Lifestyle assists athletes and coaches to minimise distractions in order to maximize their performance.
Our Performance Lifestyle staff are fully trained and accredited PL practitioners (through the UKSI) and also are ILM Coaching and Mentoring qualified. All Sport Northern Ireland Sports Institute practitioners hold up to date UKAD advisor certificates.
They are highly regarded in the sporting community and have been selected for roles at major events including Commonwealth and Olympic Games, plus World and European Championships across several individual and team sports.
