Currently, in Northern Ireland, there is no legislative requirement for safeguarding adults not deemed vulnerable or at risk.
However, safeguarding is a high priority for Sport Northern Ireland, and we want to ensure we are promoting and encouraging safe environments and excellent safeguarding culture to enable everyone to have a lifetime enjoyment of sport.
Sport NI have awarded Volunteer Now a contract to provide an Adult Safeguarding in Sport Service for the sports sector in Northern Ireland. Find out more about the service that is provided HERE.
