Your School Your Club (YSYC) is an initiative to help better utilise the school estate for sport and physical activity.
The school estate is the primary sports facility owner within Northern Ireland (44%).
The use of existing sports facilities within the school sports estate has a major impact on the provision of sports facilities for community and club use. The opportunity presented by community use of schools is that by addressing barriers to community access, the largest quantity of sports facilities within Northern Ireland could be opened to wider community use outside school hours, at weekends, and school holidays.
Our ‘Your School Your Club’ programme (YSYC) develops partnerships to provide new or upgrade community access to school facilities, creating or facilitating additional capacity for the sport and community sector.
Sport NI has created a Project Register for our YSYC funding programme as we are keen to hear from schools about a project they may be planning or developing, which will open the school sports facilities to the local community. This information will be used to demonstrate a need for further investment and will help identify future investment themes.

Once you have read the Project Register Guidance and Form document, please click the link within section 8 to submit your potential project information.
It is important you read the Guidance Booklet to ensure you are planning and developing a project that will meet the programme criteria. Sport NI can support your school in developing a project, and when appropriate, invite your school to apply for funding.
Please note that playing facilities must meet minimum National Governing Body technical playing standards. For example, a soccer pitch must have minimum dimensions of 90m x 45m plus run offs. In addition to this, ancillary facilities (eg changing) that can accommodate adult usage must be available.
